Bramblecourt Station 16mm Scale

This is beast of a building being about 38 long and a foot deep. It s very detailed and comes with a huge amount of accessories. It s not the first Thorley building I ve made and I would suggest that unless you re very accomplished at building large resin models, you start with something smaller. That would allow you to learn the way that Ian thinks! That said it s not difficult to build, there s just a lot of it. For the 16mm modeler it s great to have something that is the right scale rather than G scale or something that would double for O gauge, both of which are noticeably too small to my eye. If you re building one of these make certain you follow Ian s directions to clean all the castings with sugar soap or an alternative.as there is quite a lot of mould release fluid and paint will not like that! I actually painted the walls and roof sections before assembly as given the size, this made things much easier. It s a very impressive building both in detail and design. The instructions are clear but not extensive - they don t need to be, as it s a pretty intuitive build. I m impressed. PS Ian Thorley is very responsive to questions and customer service is great.
